Asian-Inspired Card for A Friend

We have a "Friendship" theme this week at My Sheri Crafts. I used the Asian Elements stamps from Inkadinkado for the images. The sentiment is a retired Stampin' Up stamp. The frames are from Spellbinders. The paper used is from Basic Grey's Offbeat paper pack. I used Glossy Accents, Stickles, Liquid Pearls and Enamel Accents to embellish the card. I used Copic Markers to color the skin and Pebbles Chalk to color the dress.

Masculine Birthday Card

I made this card for Jen Young's blog Challenge. I kept the design of this card fairly simple. The motorcycle stamp is from Stampin' Up, and the sentiment is a retired stamp, also from Stampin' Up. I used Diamond Plate and Clockworks embossing folders from Cuttlebug and the screw brad is K&Co. The paper is from the La Creme stack from DCWV. The gray cardstock is from Martha Stewart.

JustRite Stampers Thank You Cards

I am finally done with the card swap at the Cricut MB! There was no particular card sketch in mind when I made these. I used paper from K&Co and DCWV. The ribbon is from Prima, and I also used trim that I bought at WM. The frames are from Spellbinders. The butterfly is from Wall Decor, cut at 2". Ink is from ColorBox Cat's Eye and stamp is from...you guessed it..JustRite Stampers.

Tilda With Wine and Basket, and Lynette

I altered a couple more folders for my Copics Manual to give to a couple more fabulous ladies. I had a lot of fun personalizing them. I used the sketches for this week at RAQ's Challenge, hosted by Carolyn Deline.

I used a Stampavie stamp for the image, colored with Copic markers. The papers are from an old stash and DCWV Garden Party. I used Basic Grey rub-ons, Stickles and Flower Soft as embellishments.

I used the second sketch loosely for the second folder. The papers are from DCWV. Tilda was colored using Copic markers. The frame is from Spellbinders. Corner punch used is Topiary, from Martha Stewart. I used the stickers from the Basic Grey Two Scoops paper pack and Stickles to embellish the folder.

Waterfall Card for My Sheri Crafts

Our theme for this week at My Sheri Crafts is all about "Vacations". Since I haven't left Arizona for more than a year, I decided to make a card to wish all travelers a "Bon Voyage" instead, in the hopes that they will have a fun, safe journey.

I used paper from Basic Grey's Capella line, the Rustic Stack and Mariposa, both from DCWV. The sentiments were stamped using JustRite Stampers, and the squares were given an aged effect using Sepia Accents. The eyelet and brads are from The Paper Studio. Ink is Blueberries and Chocolate from ColorBox. I used the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers for this card. Punches used are from Martha Stewart and EK Success for the flower punch.

Altered Picture Frame

I absolutely love altering the dollar frames that they sell at Michael's. I used Aleene's tacky glue to adhere the scored paper to the frame. The embellishments are from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology line and a $0.50 paperclip I found at the clearance bin at Office Max. :-D Cat's Eye Ink from ColorBox was used to ink around the edges.

Pink-Themed Projects!

Pink is one of my favorite colors, and I have been on a roll creating projects that are predominantly pink this week.

I altered a picture frame (it costs a dollar at Michael's) for my entry last week at My Sheri Crafts. I used paper and the stickers from Basic Grey's Two Scoops paper pack. A lot of crafters abhor flat stickers, but you can always make them more dimensional with the use of Stickles, pop dots, and of course, Glossy Accents.

This card was based from the second sketch from RAQ's Challenge, hosted this week by Sue. The owl from the Wall Decor cartridge was cut at 2". The frames were cut using Spellbinders dies. Papers used are: "Handmade" from K&Co, DCWV's Garden Party, and Bazzill cardstock. Ribbon is from Offray. JustRite Stampers was used for the sentiment.

I followed the first sketch at RAQ's Challenge for a card that I made for a friend who is under the weather. Papers are from DCWV (La Creme)and GCD Studio (Paris Nights), and Bazzill. The bird from Wall Decor was cut at 2". The corner punch is from Martha Stewart and JustRite Stampers for the sentiment.

Cheeky Beauty

I followed the color choices from the Ad Challenge hosted by Carolyn Deline for the card that I made for http://youngsscrapping.blogspot.com/.

The stamp used is "Cheeky Beauty", from The Greeting Farm, colored with Copic markers. Stickles were used for her hair, hem, "eyeshadow" and tiara. The background frames and the tag were cut using Spellbinders dies. Prima flowers and buttons from Dress-It-Up were used as embellishments.

FFA Layout

It has been a while since I made any layout, mainly due to lack of pics. I made a layout with an FFA theme for a swap sister whose son is active with the organization. The paperdoll was cut at 3" and the face was drawn using a Copic SP 0.25 pen. The barnyard animals are from Create A Critter, cut at 1", and the horse is cut at 1 1/2". The barn is from Old West, cut at 5". The sun was cut at 2".

11 and 12

The theme for Day 11 is "I Don't Need No Stinkin' Paper". I altered a tissue box holder for this. The rationale is, stinky stuff will make you sneeze, so you have to grab some tissues to cover your nose while sneezing. :-) The paper is from DCWV Garden Party Collection. I painted some grungeboard with a mix of copper and brown and used Liquid Pearls for embellishment. The flowers are from Prima and the brown crystals are from Recollections.

Day 12 is "GIBBERs Do It Old Tool Style". I made another bracelet for Dianne, this time using Swarovski crystals in clear and Montana Blue, Montana Blue AB Czech glass beads and Bali silver from an old lanyard. I also altered some scrapbooking charms for her by layering several different shades of blue Stickles.

Lastly, here were all the tags that I made to go with each GIBBS day:

Put Your Big Girl Panties On!

One of my favorite stamp sets is the Cheeky Cherry Collection from Greeting Farm. I made Dianne 9 5"x7" cards with feminist-themed sayings. All the images were colored using Copic markers and I had a lot of fun applying their makeup. I would be a makeup artist in my next lifetime! :-) I also altered a pink bag to hold all the cards. The bra and panty set are from the Forever Young cartridge, cut at 5" and the tag was cut at 3". The dotted ribbon is from Offray.

Here's a closer look at her made-up face:

The Flowers Of Tomorrow are in the Seeds Of Yesterday

I made this folder a while back, but Dianne did not know that it was for the express purpose of holding a 5"x7" portrait of her kids. :-D

Share and Share Alike...A Coupon Book

The paper used for this coupon book is from Me and My Big Ideas. The stamped images were from Inkadinkado, accented with Stickles. I used purple because it's one of Dianne's favorite colors.
