Shimmery Tags

Our theme for this week at My Sheri Crafts is "Misted". I altered some shipping tags using sprays and stains from Lindy's Stamp Gang. I did a resist technique by embossing the background with clear embossing powder, then layering the mists and stains on top of the design.

I used the Chandeliers stamp from Inkadinkado for the image. I added Stickles and Liquid Pearls to make the image pop. The flourishes are from Tim Holtz, which I covered with clear embossing ink, applied embossing powder, then heat-set it.

I colored some white flowers from Petaloo and Recollections with sprays and stains from Lindy's Stamp Gang, then added Stickles along the edges. The butterfly was colored using Lindy's Magical Mica. The pearls and crystals were from The Paper Studio.

The lace and the crystal brads that I used here were from my stash. The keyhole and key were from Tim Holtz's grunge elements. The stamped image was from Inkadinkado.

Graphic 45 Christmas Past Wordbook

Our theme at My Sheri Crafts for this week is... Christmas! I just got my Gypsy after debating with myself for more than a year if I really need one. Black Friday made it possible for me to get one at a fraction of its original cost, and here I am, designing my life away. lol! I made this wordbook using Plantin' Schoolbook and Storybook. I used my Graphic 45 Christmas Past paper stack and my Bind-It-All for binding. A lot of Stickles and Flower Soft were used, but not harmed in the making of this project. :-D Watch out for the video that will be posted by middle of this week!
The Gypsy file of the wordbook is available here.

The embellishments at the last page were made using Ornamental Iron and Heritage Cricut carts.

Precious Moments Tri-Shutter Christmas Card

I got this stamped image from a previous Secret Sister swap and a good friend of mine expressed her admiration for the image, so I made a card for her for our Christmas Secret Sister swap. I used DCWV's Christmas pack from last year. The "NOEL" was cut at 1" using my Blackletter Solutions cartridge. I colored the darling image with Copics, and embellished it with liquid pearls, smooch inks and Stickles. Inside the tri-fold card were more embellishments--- the red flower stickers from KI, a cardinal sticker from Jolee's Boutique, a lovely fabric trim, and the gold rick-rack sticker from Jolee's Boutique. The red crystals were from The Paper Studio. The sentiment was computer generated and the label was using a die from Spellbinders. The gold pearls were from Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

Cinderella and Aurora

I had cut both princesses at "Fit To Page" using my Cricut Expression. I used paper from DCWV's Luxury stack for both gowns. I colored both princesses using my Copic Markers. Their features were drawn in using my Copic SP pen. Stickles, mica flakes and liquid pearls were used to embellish their dresses and jewelry.

Hoppy Christmas!

I made this shaker box for the Secret Sister swap for the purpose of using it as a rattle. I cut the frog from Create-A-Critter at 2". I used glossy accents for his cheeks and Stickles to emphasize his features. The background paper is from last year's DCWV's Christmas paper pack. The wreath was made using Martha Stewart's branch punch.

I filled up the shaker box with seed and bugle beads.

Domestic Goddess Recipe Box

I got this recipe box from the dollar bin at Michael's and altered it using paper from My Mind's Eye, Graphic 45's Domestic Goddess, and cardstock from Crafty Secrets.

Colorful Invitation Card

I made this card for this week's Design Team Project for My Sheri Crafts. I used paper from Basic Grey's 6x6 Cupcake paper stack. I used Just Rite Stamper's Times New Roman Custom Design Cardmaking Kit for the sentiment, and I framed it with Inkadinkado's Maison Frames. I used Labels Four and Labels Eight by Spellbinders to frame the stamped image. I inked the edges of the frames and used chalk to emphasize the flourishes. The punch that I used is from Martha Stewart, the ribbon is from a swap and the flower is from Petaloo.

Wintry Layout

I rarely post layouts in my blog, and my guilty reason is that I am not caught up with my scrapping. :-P I made this all-white layout for the Secret Sister swap. I used pearl paper from AC, GP white cardstock and glitter paper from Core'dinations. The chipboard letters were from DCWV, embellished with Flower Soft. The large snowflake was from When Its Cold Outside, cut at fit to page. I used my Spellbinders dies, embossed using Cuttlebug folders for the picture mats and the tags. The border punches are from Martha Stewart, and I used Viva Decor pearl pen for the flourishes. The crystal flourish is from Recollections.

More Christmas Ornaments!

I made some ornaments for both the GIBBS and Secret Sister Christmas swaps. Both of my friends have different color preferences, and I made sure that they both get what they will like. :-) I loved the Kusudama ball that Denni made so much so I made two of them!

I used Becca Feeken's tutorial for the Fleur-De-Lys ornaments.

I painted this wooden tree ornament with silver acrylic paint and covered it with Stickles, Flower Soft and mica flakes.
>
I also made this Tilda ornament for my Secret Sister (not so secret anymore!) because she loves Tildas.
