Vintage Mini Album Part 1

Baroque Minimalism and Victorian inspired this mini album. I also threw in a little Steampunk element in it. :-) I used paper from Basic Grey's Capella line, DCWV Rustics and Mariposa paper pad, The Paper Studio, and from my stash. The album is sized 5 1/2"x 5 1/2" and I used Sentimentals to cut the shape. The doily is from Cindy Loo, sized at 4" and the cameo is from Heritage, cut at 2".





Mist from Lindy's Stamp Gang was used for the tags. I also used stamps from Stampin' Up and Hero Arts.

Tilda With Key

For this card, I used paper from The Paper Studio and paper with key prints that my friend Jeri gave me. Flowers are from Prima and brads are from The Paper Studio. I used Stickles and Viva Decor Pearl Pen to embellish the image. The key and tassel were painted using gold and silver metallic ink. The corner punch was from Martha Stewart.

Tilda With Bird

I have been having fun coloring my Tilda stamps as of late. I made two cards this week, and hopefully will be able to get done making a few more. I used paper from DCWV and Spellbinders dies for the frames. Flowers are from Prima and brads are from The Paper Studio. I used Stickles and Viva Decor Pearl Pen for embellishing the card front.

Baby Gift Bag

Our theme is all about babies at My Sheri Crafts. The bag measures 9x9" and I used Bazzill cardstock for it. The ribbon is from Offray and the papers that I used are from Basic Grey: Romani, Two Scoops and Offbeat. The baby shoes were made using the template from http://www.quietfiredesign.com/Galleries/Projects/BabyShoesKim.htm .
The crystals are from The Paper Studio and Recollection. The baby carriage was cut at 3 1/2" using the New Arrival cartridge. I used my Spellbinders Peonies dies to cut the lollipop flowers.

The bird was cut at 1 3/4" and Doily 4 was cut at 4". I made the "pearls" using Enamel Accents.

Product Comparison: Lindy's Stamp Gang vs Glimmer Mist

My Sheri Crafts just started to carry products from Lindy's Stamp Gang and I ended up getting some of them. :-) I have several bottles of Glimmer Mist (don't ask me how many--I don't count when it comes to my crafting supplies) and I wanted to compare it with the Moon Shadow Mists from Lindy's Stamp Gang. I also had some Twinkling H20 sprays on hand but since the nozzles were ALL clogged up, I decided to save them for another day. :-)
To the left is a piece of cardstock sprayed with Moon Shadow Mists in Pirate's Plunder Gold and Mystic Malachite. The lower half of the cardstock on the right was sprayed with Glimmer Mist--Gold and Spanish Moss.

I was WOWED by the deep colors and abundance of mica powder in the paper sprayed with Moon Shadow Mist.

The Moon Shadow Mist got absorbed by the paper almost immediately. After spraying the paper with just about the same amount, I noticed that the sparkle on the area with the Glimmer Mist was more subtle, and the liquid stayed on the surface longer, making it possible for me to brayer over it for a more even effect.

The same number of squirts from the Glimmer Mist bottle only covered half the surface area of the cardstock, which meant that I still had the upper half blank. So what did I do next? I used more Moon Shadow Mist to cover it. :-D

I used a glass top dining table for my work surface area and when I noticed a small pool of Moon Shadow Mist, I immediately started using the upper half of the "unmisted" cardstock to wipe off the excess.
