Thinking Of You

Design Team sister Sue challenged us to make a card with the words "Thinking Of You". I have a 6"x6" paper pack from Pebbles with that sentiment in one of the pages, so I fussy cut and rounded the corners...and voila! I have an instant sentiment minus the stamping. :-D I kept my color palette in the teal and grey tones. I colored a Tilda mini and added a gold butterfly from Recollections. I layered some strips of paper for added interest, minus the bulk since I will be mailing the card. The sequins are from Close To My Heart.

Christmas Spirit

Welcome to another fun My Sheri Crafts challenge! We are feeling the Christmas Spirit in our blog! Design Sister Sandy requests for us to make a vintage-inspired card or project. I have been busy making some pretties for my online swaps and here they are! I am not done with my Christmas crafting yet, so there's more to come. I made some folders using paper from Tone Finager and Graphic 45, and filled up the pockets and mini envelopes with die cuts from Tim Holtz and Die-namics, and some tags and clothespins from Target and Marshalls. The stamped images that I colored with Copics are from Close To My Heart, Magnolia and Sara Kay Designs.

I also made some handmade Project Life cards for Christmas, using paper from Craft Smith. The die cut tree is from Cheery Lynn Dies. The wooden embellishments are from Paperchase and I got the washi tape and gold polka dot mini kraft banner from Hobby Lobby. The Red and Silver Shimmer Trims are from Close To My Heart.

Another project that I made are some tags using Tim Holtz Sizzix dies, stencils, Distress Sprays and designer paper. The wooden embellishments are from Paperchase.

I also made a pouch and a mini envelope filled with die cuts and wood embellishments for the swap hostess.

Lastly, here's a pocket letter that I made using paper from Craft Smith and Close To My Heart. I colored "Jill" the Prima paperdoll with Copic markers. I added some die cuts from Sizzix, burlap flowers and confetti from Hobby Lobby, and Paperchase wooden embellishments.

We would love to have you join our Christmas challenge at My Sheri Crafts!

Tilda With Hearts Postcard

It's been some time since I played with this old favorite of mine, my Tilda With Hearts stamp. I colored her with Copic markers, making sure that her dress matched the paper from Bo Bunny's Madeleine collection. :-D I cut the frames using Spellbinders dies, and added some rosettes from K&Co and small mulberry roses from Prima, to bring out the pinks even more. The Red Enamel Hearts are from Close To My Heart.

Tilda As Butterfly

We are welcoming a beautiful, early spring at My Sheri Crafts. :-)  I always think of flowers and butterflies when I hear the word "spring".   I colored a Tilda image with Copic markers and used the Sweet Fairy line from Prima for my background paper.  I was thinking more in the line of a magical spring.  I added Stickles and crystals from Recollections and The Paper Studio for added sparkle.  The frames and butterfly were cut using Spellbinders dies and I inked the edges using ColorBox ink.  Come join us this week at My Sheri Crafts and we are looking foward to seeing your lovely work!

Day Six Of A Nontraditional Christmas-- Oval Tilda Tags For My Sheri Crafts

Our theme of making Christmas tags/containers for My Sheri Crafts coincided nicely with the day six directive for my Christmas swap.  We were required to make three oval tags.  Since it's Christmas, I decided to make six.  I used Spellbinders dies for the shape of the tags and several Tilda Christmas images which I colored using Copic markers.  The designer paper are from Melissa Frances and Memory Box.  For the trimmings, I used vintage lace, a deep red ribbon from Hobby Lobby and red crinkle ribbon.  I kept the embellishments simple.  I used Stickles and Viva Decor Pearl pen for added sparkle.

I used paper from Prima, inked along the edges with Cat's Eye ink. The heart border punch is from Martha Stewart. To further embellish the card, I used ribbon from the dollar bin at Michael's, Liquid Pearls and Baker's twine.

Tilda with Flowers and Fall Edwin Paint can

This paint can went home to my friend Teri. She has two adorable grandbabies and they were my inspiration when I decorated this. I used paper from DCWV and the frames are from Spellbinders.

The doily on the lid is from Cindy Loo, cut at 5 1/2". I wanted the ballerina look, hence the tulle. I also layered a grunge rose on top of a daisy from Prima and embellished the perimeter of the doily with pink crystals.

Tilda With Spider

I made this Halloween card for my mother-in-law. She loves Halloween and makes it a point to decorate her whole house every year. I am so touched by her appreciation for all the handmade gifts that she gets from me. Mom, this is for you and I hope you'll like it.

The paper is from DCWV. The label and frames are from Spellbinders and the fiber is from Recollection. The big, sparkly spider looks very realistic when you see it in person, and I got it for $2/dozen at WM.

Secret Sister Handmade/Altered Items Part 2

I made a box for my Secret Sister and filled it with stamped images from Magnolia. I originally wanted to make some magnolia flowers for the box but I was concerned that it will get squished during shipping, so I had to use Prima flowers instead. In teal, of course. :-) The paper is from The Green Stack from DCWV.

I stamped a candle with a couple of Christmas images from Magnolia. I colored them with Prismacolor pencils because I was concerned that the Copic markers will bleed through the tissue paper.

For week 6, we had to alter something that starts with an "S". The ceramic snowman ornament is from Hobby Lobby. It was unpainted, so I colored the face with Copic markers--R01 for the cheeks, Y38 for the nose and B100 for the eyes and mouth. The scarf and the hat were painted using acrylic paint, and I used Stickles for the hat, scarf, eyes and mouth. I layered some metallic paint on the scarf to make it really sparkle.
