Accessorize!

Design team sister Sandy from My Sheri Crafts challenges us to accessorize our crafts! I made an endless flip book using Paper Sweetpea's You Tube tutorial. I used paper from Graphic 45 and accessorized the flip book with embellishments from K and Co, Prima, Gold Sequins from CTMH, Melissa Frances blue crepe paper ruffles and washi tape from Recollections. This was a lot of fun to make and I had to restrain myself from making a whole bunch of them. lol!

Spring Fever

Hello everyone! It's my turn to host our biweekly challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Spring comes early here in sunny AZ, and I was inspired to make a flipbook mini album using Lisa's You Tube Tutorial. I used the Gilded Lily paper pack from Graphic 45, a butterfly and crystals and pearls from Prima. I added some Martha Stewart stickers (they remind me of crown molding), and some dimensional stickers that my friend Lydia sent me. Here are pics of my mini album. :-)

Easter Wishes

We are celebrating Easter at My Sheri Crafts! Design team sister Sue, is our hostess for our biweekly challenge and she challenges us with making a card featuring either a cross, bunnies or eggs. I had to play with the Hopping By stamp set when I saw how fun the images were! Can you imagine a car made out an egg or a carrot, or even a hot air balloon egg? I colored the images with Copic and ShinHan markers, and I also used some Tim Holtz Distress Markers for the wheels. The designer paper is Hopscotch, from Close To My Heart. I added some White Enamel Stars, White Shimmer Trim, and the sorbet hearts from the Chalk It Up Assortment. I embossed the background coordinating cardstock with Honeycomb, Chevron and Vine Embossing Folders.

Three In A Row Challenge

DT sister Sue gave us a tic-tac-toe theme for the biweekly challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Here's a picture of the grid:

Since the challenge name is "three in a row", I made three coordinating cards using the tic-tac-toe format. :-D Top right, top to bottom: embossed paper, pearls, flowers--

Middle row: pattern paper, image, pearls--

Bottom row: paper piecing, die cut, flowers--

For these cards, I used the Sparkling Spring and Botanical paper pack from Prima, pearl flourishes from Prima, die cut frames cut using Spellbinders dies, and the leafy flourish was cut using Cheery Lynn die. The images of the ladies are from Kanban stamps, colored using Copic markers. The white silk flowers were a "jackpot find" from Goodwill.

Graphic Sweet Sentiments Spring Cards

I made a set of spring cards for a swap at the Cricut message board, using Graphic 45's Sweet Sentiments paper pack.  I made background frames using Spellbinders, accessorized with Stickles, silk and paper flowers and some crystals for the flower centers.  I did some fussy cutting for these cards that are quite easy to replicate. :-)

Easter Candy Jar

Here's another project that I made for the DT challenge at My Sheri Crafts.  I altered a Prego bottle, and since it's Easter, I made the bottle an Easter hat. :-D  Here's the tutorial for it that I tweaked a little bit: http://peachypapercrafts.blogspot.com/2012/08/top-hat-tutorial.htm.

I used paper and stickers from Basic Grey's Lemonade 12x12 paper pack, added Prima flowers and some Basic Grey buttons for the flower centers.  The jar is filled with Easter mini Reese cups. ;-)

Once Upon A Springtime Shadowbox Book

Raquel, our DT sister at My Sheri Crafts is the hostess for our "Celebrate Spring" challenge, and the requisite is to include spring flowers in the project.  Spring is everywhere here in sunny AZ and the beautiful weather inspired me to alter a Tim Holtz Shadowbox Book using Graphic 45's Once Upon A Springtime paper pack.  I fussy cut a lot of images from the paper pack to decorate the cover and fill up the compartments.  The aqua rosette ribbon and the pearl button are from Webster's Pages.  I inked some wooden flourishes from Melissa Frances, added roses from Prima and Recollections, leaves punched out using Martha Stewart's Branch punch, ecru ribbon from the Paper Studio, pearls from The Paper Studio, pop dots and of course, a lot of Stickles.

Tilda As Butterfly

We are welcoming a beautiful, early spring at My Sheri Crafts. :-)  I always think of flowers and butterflies when I hear the word "spring".   I colored a Tilda image with Copic markers and used the Sweet Fairy line from Prima for my background paper.  I was thinking more in the line of a magical spring.  I added Stickles and crystals from Recollections and The Paper Studio for added sparkle.  The frames and butterfly were cut using Spellbinders dies and I inked the edges using ColorBox ink.  Come join us this week at My Sheri Crafts and we are looking foward to seeing your lovely work!

Spring-Themed Exploding Box

I loved the soft hues of this DCWV Paper pack. I added a rose-printed designer paper from My Mind's Eye and voila! I ended up with a distinctly feminine exploding box. :-D


I added frames from Spellbinders for the inside squares, and dotted the scallops with Liquid Pearls. The box cover was embellished using flowers from Prima and skeleton leaves from Recollection, sheer ribbon from Offray, a Tim Holtz ticket and pearl flourishes from Prima.

Flower Box for My Sheri Crafts

This week's project is all about 3D gift containers. I cut the flower box at "Fit to Page" using my Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut cartridge. The paper is from Basic Grey's Romani paper pack. The flowers are from Prima, and the pearl and pink crystals are from Recollections. I made rosettes to adorn all four corners of the box using my Tim Holtz die.

Vintage Spring Mini Album For My Sheri Crafts

What does spring remind me of? Flowers, butterflies, birds, pure colors---the world reborn. :-)

This mini album measures 6"x6". I used paper from K&Co, Prima, Basic Grey, DCWV, Amanda Blu and Bo Bunny. The flowers are from Prima, Recollections and Petaloo. I used vintage lace and paper lace for accents. The wrought iron gates for the front and back covers are from Ornamental iron, cut at 4 1/2". The crystals are from Martha Stewart, Recollections and The Paper Studio. I used Martha Stewart punches and Spellbinders dies for the frames and butterflies for this project. The brads are from The Paper Studio. I also used Viva decor Pearl Pen for the flourishes.

I used a swivel clasp from Tim Holtz for the charm. The flower and brad are from the Paper Studio, and I found some beads from Michael's to add to the charm.




I made an envelope for this page, to hold more pictures.



My friend Tracy gave me this fabric flower and stickpin during one of the GIBBS swaps.
