Happy Mother's Day!

We are celebrating motherhood at My Sheri Crafts! Our Design Team sister Sandy challenged us to come up with a girly project. What could be both of that except Graphic 45's Time To Celebrate paper pad? The new trend in crafting right now is pocket letters. It's basically filling up a baseball card/trading card protector with 9 ATC-sized cards. It's optional to fill up the pockets with goodies, but the main focus would be the letter that you send to your pocket letter pal. It's like writing to a penpal, but with artwork enclosed.

I did a lot of fussy cutting and layering to come up with this pocket letter. I added some twine for the banner, and some Sparkles Black Flourishes-Small from Close To My Heart. I also inked the pocket cards with Desert Sand Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad.

National Humor Month

We need a little laughter in our lives. Our design team sister Sarah, is the hostess for our biweekly challenge at My Sheri Crafts. April is National Humor Month, and we'd like to invite you to share your funny projects with us.

I had hoarded this clip art from My Crafty Secrets for years and decided to make a card out of it. The designer paper is a retired paper pack from Close To My Heart. I love the colors and decided to let the paper speak for itself. All that I did next was add a White Shimmer Trim and a polka dot butterfly that I punched using my Martha Stewart punch and my card is done! Do check out the My Sheri Crafts blog for and have a smile!
