Cheeky Nurse for My Sheri Crafts

I had a bit of a scare this week with hubby, and had to take him to the hospital. He got cleared up by the docs, which is one thing I am grateful for. :-) Hubby told me he loved the card, although I'd rather make something else for him.

The image is "Cheeky Nurse" by Greeting Farm. The background paper are from the Offbeat paper pack from Basic Grey, and DCWV. The punched edges is from Martha Stewart. The frame is from Spellbinders and pearls are from Recollection. I also used liquid pearls for the flower centers on the punched border. The sentiment is from JustRite Stampers.

Hallowe'en in Wonderland Mini Album Video

Hallowe'en in Wonderland Part 2

Here are the rest of the pics of the mini. :-)

Hallowe'en in Wonderland Mini Album

My friend Kimi is such an inspiration. I fell in love with the album that she made in her blog: http://kimi-n-ga.blogspot.com/2010/08/vintage-mini-swap.html. I finally mustered the courage to cut one of the most beautiful paper packs that I owned. Our theme for this week at My Sheri Crafts is Halloween, so I altered a chipboard album from Basic Grey and jazzed it up. :-) I also made a video of the mini album, and it will be posted in a bit, possibly after the Crimson Tide game. Hubby has to edit it for me. :-) I also mixed paper from DCWV, Basic Grey and Tim Holtz's Lost and Found paper pack with the Graphic 45 paper. Transparencies are from Recollections and Colorbok, and embellishments are from Tim Holtz and my swap sisters Tiara and Susan R. The fibers are from Recollection and the black and white ribbon is from the dollar bin at Target. I had cut the frames from Happy Hauntings at 4 1/2" and 5" respectively.

A closer look at the charms...

I tried to devise ways to showcase the design of the paper. I hated the thought of covering anything up.

Boss's Day Card for My Sheri Crafts

October 16 is Boss's Day and we are honoring the person who influences us the most at My Sheri Crafts this week. I was inspired by Shelley, the co-owner of Castor and Pollux pets. She is fondly known as the "Top Dog". :-) Castor and Pollux products have kept my cat Logan healthy all these years. :-)

The dog die cut is from Create a Critter, cut at 2" and the house was cut at 3 1/2". I used cardstock from Core-dinations and embossed it with Cuttlebug's Distressed Stripes. The grass was manually cut. The font is from Cindy Loo, cut at 1" and embossed using Spots and Dots from Cuttlebug. I used paper from Basic Grey's Romani, Offbeat and Lemonade paper packs. The paw punch is from EK Success. I applied glossy accents on the dog's nose to make it shiny. The ribbon is from the dollar bin at Michael's.

Tilda with Flowers and Fall Edwin Paint can

This paint can went home to my friend Teri. She has two adorable grandbabies and they were my inspiration when I decorated this. I used paper from DCWV and the frames are from Spellbinders.

The doily on the lid is from Cindy Loo, cut at 5 1/2". I wanted the ballerina look, hence the tulle. I also layered a grunge rose on top of a daisy from Prima and embellished the perimeter of the doily with pink crystals.

Dragonfly Card For My Sheri Crafts

We have a sewing theme for this week's design projects at My Sheri Crafts. I was inspired by this delicate shade of green, so I decided on a monochromatic theme. I used paper from DCWV, and I stamped one side of the paper with dragonflies using the Patterned Bugs stamp set from Inkadinkado. I used Misty Meadow from ColorBox Cat's Eye Ink for the whole project. The stitching was done using a template from Bazzill and DMC embroidery thread.

Breast Cancer Card for My Sheri Crafts

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I followed the sketch from RAQ's Challenge for my card, hosted by Sue for this week.

The ladies are from Forever Young, cut at 3 1/2". The background frames are from Spellbinders. I used paper from Basic Grey's Two Scoops paper pack, Bazzill and DCWV. The sentiment was cut at 2" and the ribbon at 1" using the Pink Journey cartridge. The corner punch is from Martha Stewart. Colorbox was used for inking and I used Liquid Pearls, Prima Flowers and a scrap of ribbon to embellish the card.
