I made this gift bag for my Secret Sister's goodies. I had a You Tube tutorial on a baby gift bag http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRWQkoDEkCo , and I made adjustments on the measurements so everything will fit in it. The paper is from Martha Stewart, and the ribbon is from Offray. The flower border at the bottom of the bag is from K&Co. The bingo card was inked using Cat's Eye Ink, and embellished with crystals from The Paper Studio and Prima flowers.

Masculine Card for My Sheri Crafts

We have a masculine theme for this week's project at My Sheri Crafts. My grandpa is my inspiration for this card. I was pretty close to him, growing up.

The compass is a stamp from All Night Media while the sailboat image did not have the company name in it. I used Chocolate and Blueberry ink from ColorBox. The designer paper is Offbeat from Basic Grey, and Gartner. The paper lace is K&Co and the "bubbles" are from Cloud 9. Frames are from Spellbinders. Chalk used is from Pebbles.

I made these candy boxes for a swap at the Cricut MB. I used the Happy Hauntings cartridge, and paper is from DCWV. The coffin cover was cut at 11 1/2" and the box for the candy was cut at 11 1/4". The font used is "Chiller", and I used Spellbinders for the labels. The dimensional stickers are from K&Co.

Tilda With Spider

I made this Halloween card for my mother-in-law. She loves Halloween and makes it a point to decorate her whole house every year. I am so touched by her appreciation for all the handmade gifts that she gets from me. Mom, this is for you and I hope you'll like it.

The paper is from DCWV. The label and frames are from Spellbinders and the fiber is from Recollection. The big, sparkly spider looks very realistic when you see it in person, and I got it for $2/dozen at WM.

Fall Candle for My Sheri Crafts

I used the Fall Season stamp set from Inkadinkado for this project. The ribbon is from Autumn Inspirations. The tag was made using a sticker from Basic Grey's Ambrosia paper pack. I layered it on top of a cardstock that I had cut using a Spellbinders die, and I inked the edges. Ink used was Rich Rustics from ColorBox.

Directions for stamping on candles:
Stamping on candles is relatively easy. You just stamp an image on a piece of tissue paper, then cut really close along the edges of the design. Lightly glue it on the candle, and cover it with wax paper. Using a heat gun, go over the whole image for 8-10 seconds until the wax paper that covers the stamped area starts to look shiny. Don't heat it too long since this will cause the candle to melt, and along with it, your stamped image. Carefully remove the wax paper, and voila! You have a stamped candle.

Secret Sister Handmade/Altered Items Part 2

I made a box for my Secret Sister and filled it with stamped images from Magnolia. I originally wanted to make some magnolia flowers for the box but I was concerned that it will get squished during shipping, so I had to use Prima flowers instead. In teal, of course. :-) The paper is from The Green Stack from DCWV.

I stamped a candle with a couple of Christmas images from Magnolia. I colored them with Prismacolor pencils because I was concerned that the Copic markers will bleed through the tissue paper.

For week 6, we had to alter something that starts with an "S". The ceramic snowman ornament is from Hobby Lobby. It was unpainted, so I colored the face with Copic markers--R01 for the cheeks, Y38 for the nose and B100 for the eyes and mouth. The scarf and the hat were painted using acrylic paint, and I used Stickles for the hat, scarf, eyes and mouth. I layered some metallic paint on the scarf to make it really sparkle.

Secret Sister Handmade/Altered Items Part 1

I joined one of the swaps at the Cricut MB and we were given a letter every week for six weeks. We were to make/alter/shop for items that begin with that particular letter. The catch was: we only had a $5.00 limit with a $6.00 maximum, to give an allowance for taxes.

For the first week, we were given the letter "B". I altered this birdhouse for my Secret Sister. I used the color purple and a Baroque Minimalist theme. :-)

I gave her the picture frame that I altered for a project for My Sheri Crafts for the letter "P". She has two sons and being surrounded by men, I figured out that she might like something feminine for her craft room. The paper has teal in it too, one of her favorite colors.

The letter for the third week was "A". Cammi and I were brainstorming, and the word "Asian" popped up, hence the takeout box. The outside was painted with purple acrylic paint. I glued some vintage Asian images to a couple of memory glass using Glossy Accents and adhered them to the sides of the takeout box. I cut a tag that says "friend" from the Pagoda cartridge at 1/2" and added a fan as additional embellishments. I finished it off with some pearls. I filled up the box with some purple mini roses wrapped in tulle.

I wanted to color this Steampunk cutie so badly when I first saw her. :-) I used Nestabilities for the frame. Paper is from Basic Grey's Capella line. I also used vellum paper with a script print and I lightly adhered it to the paper; and no, my card is not crooked. lol! The pearl stick pin is from Maya Road, and pearls are from Recollection. The "gold buttons" in Lavinia's dress and shoes, as well as her earrings were made using Viva Decor Pearl Pen in gold.

Steampunk ATCs

The Steampunk movement was my inspiration when I made these Artist Trading Cards for My Sheri Crafts. The paper is from the Lost and Found paper stack. I also sprayed some cream-colored cardstock with some Moonlight Mist (Pirate's Plunder and Mystical Marcasite)from Lindy's Stamp Gang. The images were from http://classroomclipart.com/, mounted on 2x2" Memory Glass using Glossy Accents. The glittered paper was also embossed using the following folders: Clockworks and Diamond Plate from Cuttlebug, and Bingo and Patchwork from Tim Holtz. The ink used are: Chocolate and Blueberries and Rich Rustics from ColorBox. I used quite a motley of embellishments...die cuts made using Gadget Gears, and metal embellishments from Idea-ology, Jo-Ann's, The Paper Studio and bits and pieces from my stash.
