Kung Hei Fat Choi!

....that's "May You Become Prosperous" in Cantonese, a popular greeting during the Chinese New Year. For this week's Asian theme project for My Sheri Crafts, I decided to make some coin envelopes, to spread prosperity around. I used my Gypsy and my Zooballoo cartridge. The dimensions are: height: 3" and width: 11". It is larger than your usual coin envelope, but I was thinking of being able to use them for mini albums as well. I used cardstock from DCWV which I embossed using embossing folders from Cuttlebug's Asian Bundle. The stamped images are Asian Characters from Inkadinkado, which I heat-embossed using Red Dragon embossing powder from Stamp 'n Stuff. I just added strips of washi paper to compete the design.

Organic Layouts

This week's theme at My Sheri Crafts is "Organic". My hubby and a couple of other friends and I went on a nature hike on April last year. I decided to make a couple of layouts with the theme in mind. The paper were from from Webster's Pages, and Anna Griffin. The green paper for the photo mats were from Me And My Big Ideas. The flowers and lace were from Prima. The sinamay was sent to me from the Philippines. I had cut a journaling tag using my Spellbinder's dies and I embossed it using my Cuttlebug Leafy Branch embossing folder. The other journaling tag was also cut using Spellbinders. I used pop squares to add more dimension to the round tag, and Billy's picture.

Bling It On!

Our focus for this week at My Sheri Crafts is bling! I have been looking forward to spring and warmer weather, so I decided to use one of my favorite colors--pink! I used paper from Basic Grey's Eva Collection Kit . I made an A2 sized gatefold card and cut a couple of square medallions using the smaller square die from Spellbinders' Fleur De Lis Pendant. The flower borders were from Paper Lace, cut at 1 1/4". I used crystals from The Paper Studio and pearls from Recollections to add dimension to the card.

Cocoa Packet Holder

This is the second project for this week at My Sheri Crafts. The paper is from Basic Grey's Offbeat paper pad. The snowflake was cut at 3 1/2" using Winter Lace. The cup was from Joys Of The Season, cut at 2".

I used chalk to shade the cup and the tag for the sentiment. The sentiment was computer-generated.

Inside the card is a pocket for the cocoa packet (a pocket for a packet...lol!:-D). I embossed it using my Snowflakes Cuttlebug embossing folder and I used chalk to emphasize the design.

Snowflake Card

I got inspired to make two projects for My Sheri Crafts this week, and here's the first one. :-) I used paper from Momenta's Jack Frost line. I used my Winter Lace cartridge and cut the center snowflake at 3 1/2". The two smaller snowflakes were cut at 2" and I used pop dots for added dimension. I cut the other snowflake in half so it would look like it's part of the paper. I used a border punch from EK Success to create the snowflake paper lace at the left side of the card. The sentiment was computer-generated and cut using my Spellbinders die. The ribbon was from last year's winter swap at the Cricut message board. The crystals were from the dollar bin at Michael's.

Happy New Year!

It's a strange coincidence that today is 1/1/11. :-) My projects for My Sheri Crafts for this week are party hats. I used paper from Basic Grey's Two Scoops Paper Pack, which I cut using the crown keys of my Once Upon A Princess Cricut cartridge and my Gypsy. Both party hats were cut at Fit To Page.Lindy's Stamp Gang Mists were used to make both hats sparkle. I used my Textured Textile and D'vine Swirls embossing folders from Cuttlebug for added dimension. The text for both party hats are computer-generated and I cut a frame for the second hat using Labels Four from Spellbinders. I colored the frames with Pebbles Chalk and edged them with Stickles. I used my Viva Decor Pearl Pen and crystals from Recollections to finish the look.
