The other themes for the swap were "Glass" and "Shiny". I had some spice jars lying around and I just printed out the words "Got Trim", cut it out using my Spellbinders die, and covered it with paper and tissue tape from Tim Holtz. The design was kept simple since I wanted the focus to be on the pretty blue trim I filled them up with. I was thinking that this would also make good gift containers for scrappers who love buttons, brads, skittles, etc.
For "Shiny", I made this box using K&CO's Handmade paper line. The film strip, ticket, and the paper with the vintage prints are from Tim Holtz. The flowers are from Prima.
To achieve the shiny effect on the grunge roses, I first applied a layer of Pink Tutu Glimmer Glam, then I inked the edges with pink Cat's Eye. I dipped the roses in melted clear ultra thick embossing enamel. I used a heat gun to get rid of the air bubbles.
Your projects are very pretty. I am following your blog now. Stop by mine and follow. Thanks for sharing ideas.
