Wish Card for My Sheri Crafts

Sheri came up with a recipe for this week's project. We were to make something using one button, two designer papers and three flowers. I have been wanting to play with my stamps from Kanban and this week's project was the perfect excuse for that.

I used paper from Prima's Sparkling Spring paper pack and Tim Holtz. The flowers are from Prima, button is from Basic Grey and the pearls are from Recollections. I got that pleated ribbon from the dollar bin. :-) I made a frame for the image using my Spellbinder's dies. I embossed the frame using the Victoria Cuttlebug folder, inked the edges with ColorBox Cat's Eye ink and chalked the design. Chalk was also used for the brown shadow in the background of the image. I added tiny pearls using my Viva Decor Pearl pen for added embellishment.

Black, Pink, White...and Flowers!

Our theme for this week at My Sheri Crafts is "Flowers". I made some shopping bags using my Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I had cut the bags at "Fit To Page" and embellished them with flowers from Recollections, and polka-dotted ribbons. The paper that I used for the bags are from Tim Holtz and DCWV.

I also altered a wooden "P" hanger using Tim Holtz Paper and vintage music sheets. I inked the edges using Cat's Eye Ink from ColorBox and applied Stickles for added texture. I added another pearl to the Maya Road stick pin to personalize it. The flower is from Recollections and the ribbon is from Offray. I added some flourishes using Black Enamel Accents and Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

Masculine Card for my Sheri Crafts

We like to celebrate every occasion at My Sheri Crafts and get an excuse to draft. :-D National Defense Transportation will be on the third Friday this month and yes...we are celebrating it too! :-)

Paper used are from DCWV's La Creme paper pack and The Paper Studio. The stamped sentiment is from Tim Holtz. The car was cut from Graphic 45's A Distinguished Gentleman paper pack. I used my Diamond Plate Cuttlebug folder to add texture, then I added baker's twine. The gear and ticket are from Tim Holtz.

Altered Mailbox in Fall Colors

I was looking for the perfect paper for a project for a swap sister when I ended up rummaging through my Graphic 45 paper stacks. Where do you think I found it? At the Christmas paper pack of course! lol! I chose the design that was more Baroque and less "holidayish" (yes, that's a new word).

I dyed the mulberry flowers from Petaloo with Glimmer Mist. The flower centers were from a swap. The butterflies are from Recollections and the butterfly band at the center was made using a Martha Stewart butterfly border punch. I had cut the frames using Lacy Labels and they measure 3". The "T" is from Gypsy Font and to finish the look, I added a cameo, satin ribbon and some accents using Viva Decor Pen.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms out there! I would like to share a pic of what hubby gave me today. He was disgusted with the presentation of the tulips that he ordered, so he took one of our glasses, dyed the water pink with Crystal Lite, trimmed the stems and rearranged them all in a vase. He tied the tulips with one of my crinkle ribbons. He also printed out the card using photo paper. The design of the card was actually the screensaver he had put up for me this morning. :-)

Tilda Get Well Soon Card For My Sheri Crafts

Nurses' Week is almost here! We would like to wish those who are sick good health, and send something bright and cheery their way. I used paper from Prima's Springtime and Sweet Fairy paper packs. The image is Picnic Tilda. I masked a small area in her face so I could draw her nose and mouth. The frame is from Spellbinders, embossed with my Cuttlebug Spots and Dots folder. The border was punched using a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is from Just Rite Stampers. I used my Spellbinders dies again to cut the frames. For embellishments, I used Liquid Pearls, Stickles, a white button from Dress-it-up, baker's twine and crinkle ribbon which was colored using Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Stain. Stamp pad used for inking is Cat's Eye from Colorbox.
