A Vintage Cupid Postcard

I still have some Graphic 45 paper leftover from last year's Springtime Collection, so I made a postcard using a Cupid image from one of the pages. The background paper is from Prima, distressed using Cranberry Pigment Ink from Close To My Heart. I added a doily that I cut using a Cheery Lynn die. The mini roses are from Prima, the large red flower is from Recollection. I added some Crystals Clear Flourishes-Small from Close To My Heart. The stickpin was a swap item from my friend Tammy.

Tilda With Hearts Postcard

It's been some time since I played with this old favorite of mine, my Tilda With Hearts stamp. I colored her with Copic markers, making sure that her dress matched the paper from Bo Bunny's Madeleine collection. :-D I cut the frames using Spellbinders dies, and added some rosettes from K&Co and small mulberry roses from Prima, to bring out the pinks even more. The Red Enamel Hearts are from Close To My Heart.

Distressed Valentine Post Card

I played with some Tim Holtz techniques when making this postcard. I used spritz and sprays from Tim Holtz, Smooch and Lindsay's to make the background paper. I also added a damask design to the side using a Tim Holtz stencil and some texture paste. What's amazing is that I did not do anything to the paste after it dried. Somehow, some of the spray from the paper under it must have seeped through and colored it, which was a nice surprise. "Love" was stamped using Archival Black Ink and a Tim Holtz stamp. I also sprayed the grunge board heart with some red Smooch and Tim Holtz spray, and added a lock. All embellishments are from Tim Holtz.

Love Is In The Air

Welcome to another biweekly challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Design team sister Sandy challenges us with a Valentine project that contains a heart. I decided to make an air balloon using an SVG file from SVG cuts, and a matching post card. The designer paper is Heartstrings, from the Seasonal Expressions Catalog from Close To My Heart. The Cupid bear is from Teddy Bear parade, and was cut at 3". I added some Red Enamel Hearts on both the air balloon and the post card. I embossed the Lagoon Cardstock panels of the balloon with Heart Embossing Folder. The balloon's basket and the "rope" also had White Shimmer Trim, Red Shimmer Trim, and Teal Shimmer Trim. The tassels were made using Cranberry Twine. At the top of the balloon is a cluster of mini roses from Prima and Pixie Extra Thick Twine.

Let It Snow!

Winter is everywhere, even here in sunny AZ! Our design team leader, Sheri, challenged us with including a snowflake in our project. I made a layout using the Snowhaven paper packet from Close To My Heart. The format of the layout is from Imagine. I used Glacier cardstock for the photo frames. The boy stamped image is actually a girl from the Shreddin' The Slopes stamp set. I gave her a haircut, colored the hair black and voila! I had a boy. :-D I colored the image with ShinHan markers and Copics. The snowflakes and the word "snow" are scraps from a layout that I made. I added some Sequins Silver Assortment for added bling.

Now it's your turn to share with us your snowy creations!
