Design Team sister Raquel is hosting our Birthday Celebrations theme at My Sheri Crafts, which is a wonderful coincidence since my little boy will turn 3 on the 19th of this month! He will be the Caped Crusader for a day, and in keeping with the theme, I made invitations with matching envelopes, Thank You cards, gift bags and matching decorations to fit the theme. Using the Batman Cricut cartridge, I cut the invitation at 5 1/2". The envelope was made by folding over a piece of Black Cardstock measuring 6"x12". I closed off the edges with Tim Holtz tissue tape and glued on the bat cutouts from the invitation. I altered the blue gift bags that I got from Michaels with a Batman emblem, cut at 2" using the Plantin' Schoolbook cartridge. The bat is from once again, the Batman cartridge, cut at 3 1/2", at real dial size off. I used Black, Slate and Pacifica Cardstock from Close To My Heart mixed in with a darker blue and bright yellow cardstock from Core'dinations.

Celebrate The Piano
Design team sister Sarah is hosting our biweekly challenge this time around, and the prerequisite for the challenge is to come up with a music-related project in celebration of Piano Month this September. I was inspired by Liberace when I made this card.
I used designer paper from Prima Marketing, and added the piano (cut at 2 1/2") and sentiment (cut at 2") cut using A Child's Life and Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridges. I embossed the Champagne Cardstock using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The Gold Shimmer Trim, and small Black Flourish, and Gold Sequins are all from Close To My Heart.

Be An Angel...
August 22 is "Be An Angel Day", and sure enough, our biweekly theme at My Sheri Crafts is all about angels! I made this card using the Sing Glory Close To My Heart stamp set, inked with Glacier Exclusive Ink. I used Juniper Cardstock for the snowflakes and Slate Cardstock for the Background, which I embossed using a Cuttlebug folder. I wanted bling in the card, so I added some Sparkles Clear Assortment. The snowflakes were cut at 1" and the border was cut at 7 1/2" at read dial size using the Arbooking Cricut cartridge.

Christmas in July
DT sister Sue challenged us with a Christmas in July theme this week and I would like to send her a virtual hug since Christmas is my favorite holiday and if it were up to me, I'd celebrate it everyday. Another requirement for the project is for it to have layers:-D
This picture was taken a couple of Christmases ago. I put on an identical Santa hat on the baby who was not too happy having his pic taken with Santa at his workshop. We had a good pic before the tears started falling.
I used paper from Webster's Pages from their Waiting For Santa paper pack. The paper was so beautiful and I felt that it would be a shame to cover it up, so I came up with this layout design with that in mind. I had hoarded that paper for four long years and I am not embarrassed to admit that. lol! The puffy damask stickers were given to me by Jeri, and the sentiment Believe" was cut from the Cricut Artbooking cartridge using Ruby Cardstock. I added some Sparkles Black Flourishes from Close To My Heart to make the layout more festive.

April Showers Bring May Flowers
Design team sister Sarah gave us the challenge to use at least three flowers on our project. I altered a couple of canvases from the dollar store and came up with a Paris theme. The first canvas has a Marie Antoinette theme. I used paper from DCWV, Prima flowers and pop-dotted a cake sticker from Webster's Pages. The edges have flouncy stretch lace trim from my stash. The centers of the large flowers are from Recollections. The third flower on the design is found in Marie Antoinette's fascinator. :-) I cut the Eiffel tower at 8 1/2" using the Summer in Paris Cricut cartridge.
The second canvas also has the 8 1/2" Eiffel tower but this time around, I used Graphic 45's French Country 12x12 paper and chipboard. I fussy cut the flowers, added some micro beads from Martha Stewart, added Stickles to accent the Eiffel tower and glued some photo corners from Tim Holtz. This piece now resides in Barb's home. :-)

Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments Easter Banner
Easter is almost here! Sarah, our DT sister wanted us to make "anything but a card for Easter". I had some little projects for Easter and this is one of them. I used paper from Graphic 45, DCWV for the base and frames. I cut this banner at 5" using the Pretty Pennants Cricut cartidge. The frames were cut using Spellbinders and embossed using the Plum Blossoms Cuttlebug embossing folder. The lace is from our DT sister Charlotte.

Art Nouveau Triptych
It's my turn once again to host our biweekly challenge at My Sheri Crafts and since March 13 is Jewel Day, our challenge is all about "Blingin' It On!"
I made a triptych using the Art Nouveau cartridge from Cricut. The ladies were cut at 9" and the daffodils at 2 1/2". I made a background using the Ornamental Iron Cricut cartridge, cutting the gates at 11 1/2". The corners were cut at 2" using the Story Book cartridge. The hinges were from the Fabulous Finds Cricut cartridge, cut at 2". I used paper from Basic Grey's Curio paper pack and Amanda Blu. I drew on the ladies' faces using a brown Copic multiliner, added some inking, chalk, brads from The Paper Studio, Smooch, Stickles, Prima roses and of course, bling from Martha Stewart.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Sandy, our DT sister came up with a heart theme in celebration of this special month. I made a mailbox using the Lovestruck Cricut cartridge. The mailbox was cut at 11 1/2". I used the Be Mine paper pack from Echo Park, which is something that I had kept untouched for the four years that I owned it, primarily because I am so in love with it that I loathed using it. It is one designer paper collection that I feel is so me. Love also means sacrifice, so I ultimately decided to sacrifice a single page. (sigh!) I added some daisies from Prima, pink cabochons, pink and white pearls and some stickers from the Be Mine collection to embellish my mailbox.

A Little Comfort
Sarah from our DT gave us the challenge to make a sympathy/thinking of you card to give comfort to the receiver. I had this paper pack from Bo Bunny that I have not even touched yet, and have been as usual, just hoarding. :-D
The card measures 6x6" and the font is from the Sentimentals Cricut Cartridge, cut at 2". I added some pearls and flowers from Prima and crystal flowers from Dress It Up to finish off this simple card.

A Night Owl's First Hallowe'en
I was very excited when Charlotte gave us a challenge featuring "The Night". Well it's about time I make a layout featuring the baby's first Halloween. I fussy cut the pumpkins and owl and raven strips from a Halloween-themed paper from Reminisce. I made paper lace using a bat border punch from EK Success. The cobweb paper is from DCWV. The font was cut using the Happy Haunting Cricut cartridge and measures 1 1/2". The moon is from October 31st, cut at 2". I traced the edges of the letters and the pumpkins with Stickles to make this simple layout pop.
The night owl was asleep all throughout the photo session. :-)

A Card Inspired by Chocolate
Raquel from our DT at My Sheri Crafts came up with this delicious challenge in celebration of National S'mores Day. I used the equally yummy Sweet Stack from DCWV for this card. The cupcake was cut at 2 1/2" using the Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge. I added Liquid Pearls along the scalloped frame, the chocolate layer of the cupcake and the punched border. Stickles were added on the heart topper. The frames were cut using Spellbinders dies. I added Baker's twine and chocolate brown borders punched using a Martha Stewart punch on the accent panel. I also used the matching Martha Stewart punch for the corners of the card.

Back to School With My Sheri Crafts
This another project for Kenzo Gunner's future teacher. :-) Glenda is hosting for this week, and she came up with our challenge theme: "Back to School", and we are to feature a bus or a schoolhouse. I used paper from Prima for the background. The schoolhouse was cut at 2 1/2" using the Heritage Cricut cartridge. I cut a label using a Sizzix die and placed a Tim Holtz inside it. I added leaf flourishes cut using Cheery Lynn dies, roses from Kaisercraft, and frames for the schoolhouse, cut using Spellbinders dies. I added faux pearls on the scalloped frame using Viva Decor Pearl pen.

Let's Take A Trip!
We took the baby to visit his grand parents in Alabama last year. This challenge was the perfect opportunity for me to scrap the pictures that I took of him during the car ride. He got bored and to amuse himself, he decided to bite his toes. lol!
I used a designer paper from Pink Paislee's London Market paper pack for my background. The inked paper behind the photos is from K&Co. The font and arrows were cut at 2 1/2" using the Summer Vacation Cricut cartridge. I added some flowers from Sassafras Lass, a Tim Holtz token as a flower center, a car image from Graphic 45, and a label cut using a Spellbinder's die for journaling.

What's the BUZZ?
This challenge's requirement is to make a summer-themed card or project featuring the colors yellow, black and white. I was thinking of a bee, but since I am a butterfly/dragonflyholic (it's a new word that I coined) :-) I decided to feature my other favorite winged creature. I cut the main image at 2 1/2" using the Damask Decor cartridge . The contrasting polka dot papers used were from GCD studios and DCWV. It was pretty late at night when I made the card and I noticed the next morning that the "white" was more cream. I decided to submit it anyway, since I liked the slightly aged look. :-) I punched the corners using a Martha Stewart punch, added pop dots and Viva Decor faux pearls and... voila! We have a summer-themed card.

Summer Solstice
Sarah from our DT, required us to feature sunrise/sunset in our summer challenge from My Sheri Crafts. I had a picture of our little family, taken in Panama City Beach that I thought would be perfect for this challenge.
I used Webster's Pages for the background paper. The journaling tag that I tucked inside a pocket that I created at the side of the photo is also from Webster's Pages. The flower doily was cut from the Easter cartridge, at 7 1/2" and the round doily was from Cindy Loo, cut at 5". I added crystals from Recollections, a Tim Holtz token, flowers from Recollections, Prima and Petalloo to frame the photo. The stickers that I used were from a swap. The metal tag is from Making Memories.

Happy Father's Day, Dad!
Our challenge at My Sheri Crafts is to make a masculine card/project with embossing, in celebration of Father's Day. I used my Old West cartridge for this card. I cut the letters at 2" and the hat was cut at 1 1/2". The paper is from DCWV. I embossed all the die cuts and the background paper with Cuttlebug folders for a raised, textured look. I added some inking, baker's twine, metal brads and Viva Decor "Pearls" in Bronze to complete the card. The scalloped portion of the card was punched using Martha Stewart Cornice punch.

Happy Valentine's Day From My Sheri Crafts!
Our Design Team would like to greet all of you a Happy Valentine's Day! We hope that your day will be filled with love and happy memories shared with your loved ones! :-)
I decided to make a vertical banner for our new home. :-) I used the top note die from Sizzix as my pennant shape. I added Stickles on the edges to make it more sparkly. I used a combination of designer paper in various shades of pink--from DCWV, Bazzill and Carta Bella. The layered hearts were cut using Spellbinders, and the scallops were topped with tiny faux pearls that I made using Viva Decor Pearl Pen. The fonts, which measure 2 1/2" were cut using the Black Letter Cricut cartridge. The flowers are from Prima, and the pink cabochon centers are from Hobby Lobby. I added crystals from Recollections and a pearl pendant from Tim Holtz. The lace is from our wonderful Design Team sister, Charlotte.
Please join us at My Sheri Crafts and share your wonderful creations with us on this special day of love.

Got Snow? A Snowman Card For My Sheri Crafts
It's been cold here in sunny AZ, which is surprising since we usually have very pleasant "you can still wear shorts" winter. This is my second winter card for the design team since as Sheri pointed out, I had a big "Ooops!". I did not put a snowman/snowgirl in my project. Needless to say, I rummaged through my stamp collection and found this snowman stamp from Savvy Stamps. I colored the image with Copic markers.
Here is the color guide:
Snowman: B00, B02, B05
Hat: B32, B34, B37
Shadow: W03
I cut the frame at 3" using the Lacy Labels cartridge and embossed it using the Snowflake folder from Cuttlebug's Winter Wonderland set. The plaid cloth tape is from Maya Road. I cut the frame for the snowman and the snowflakes using Spellbinders dies. I added Stickles and some blue crystals from the Paper Studio for added sparkle.

Winter Wonderland Card
This was actually an "Ooops!" card. I submitted this as a design team project and the theme was "Got Snow" and I did not read the directives that said to include a snowman/snowgirl. I loved this image of a cardinal so much and I wanted to use it since I haven't made any project using this folder. :-) I decided to post it anyway since I was pretty happy with it.
This card measures 5"x5". I used cardstock from Core'dinations so I could distress the edges and sand the raised areas. Cuttlebug folders that were used were from the Winter Wonderland set. The frame which measures 4 1/2" was cut using the Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge. I added blue crystals of various sizes and inking to soften the overall look.

Crimson Tide Layout For My Sheri Crafts
We have a sports theme to open the New Year at My Sheri Crafts. :-) My husband's family are such big fans of the Crimson Tide. The baby, being the youngest member, is being exposed to football early. He loves to tackle his stuffed animals and kick his ball so maybe we have a future football player here. :-D The picture of the baby at 4 months was taken while watching a Crimson Tide ball game on TV and the ones of him at 14 months were taken when he was playing at the park.
The fonts of the layout is from the Cricut Old West cartridge, cut at 1 1/2". The punched star border is from Martha Stewart. The elephant from New Arrival was cut at 2" and I added googly eyes and chalk to give it more dimension. The pictures, letters and journaling were all pop-dotted.
