Back to School With My Sheri Crafts

This another project for Kenzo Gunner's future teacher.  :-)  Glenda is hosting for this week, and she came up with our challenge theme: "Back to School", and we are to feature a bus or a schoolhouse.  I used paper from Prima for the background.  The schoolhouse was cut at 2 1/2" using the Heritage Cricut cartridge.  I cut a label using a Sizzix die and placed a Tim Holtz inside it.  I added leaf flourishes cut using Cheery Lynn dies, roses from Kaisercraft, and frames for the schoolhouse, cut using Spellbinders dies. I added faux pearls on the scalloped frame using Viva Decor Pearl pen.

  1. Pretty card! Love the schoolhouse! I forget about the great images on Heritage cartridge! Love the pearls, flowers, and the script papers!

  2. What a wonderful feel to your card Peachy! love that script paper along with that school house! Kenzo's future teacher will be blessed with this cards from you! :)

  3. What a beautiful card Peachy. I know that Kenzo's future teacher will be so happy to receive this card. I have never in all my years of teaching received a card as lovely. I adore the flourish from Cheery Lynn on the card. And the school you used from Heritage, is my favorite school cut. In fact I too used it for this challenge. Great minds working together! Have a great week.

  4. Your son's teacher will surely appreciate this one day and our little ones truly are our hope for the future -- FABULOUS idea!!!

  5. Peachy,
I love it when you post a card as there is always so much to look at.
This time the lovely script behind the old school house and the frame housing the hope for the new learner within.

  6. What a gorgeous card! Great job thinking out of the box. I've always associated back to school projects with something cute and the use of primary colors. I love the rustic look to this card and that background paper... gorgeous
