You're Such A Blockhead Charlie Brown!

This wass actually an altered 4x4 wooden block that I covered using DCWV garden Party Designer paper and Prima lace and flowers. The crystals are from Recollections and the box feet are from Tim Holtz.

Time Flies By, Not All That It's Cracked Up To Be...and All Blinged Up and No Place To Go

I altered a memo board for "Time Flies", to keep things organized. :-) The font that I used was from Jasmine, cut at 1". The flowers were cut using Tim Holtz's Tattered Flowers dies. I used Prima for the lace and the other flowers and alcohol ink to add color.

Marriage is "Not All That It's Cracked Up To Be", but with the right approach, you can turn it into a lovely and meaningful experience. The picture frame was originally white, and I painted it using Brass Crackle Paint and layered some crocheted lace from The Paper Studio on top of it. I used paper from DCWV Luxury Collection, layered with Clear Rock Candy crackle paint, then lightly inked it. The frame was embellished using Prima flowers and metals from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology.

The bird chain for all Blinged Up And No Place To Go is from Blue Moon. The charms are from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology line and some Steampunk elements from my stash. I made it a point to include the Journey muse token because life is an ongoing journey.

Quilled ATCs

The theme for the first day of the GIBBS swap is "One Man's Trash is Another Man's Treasure". I chose to give Dianne little treasures for that day. I made six quilled ATCs, altered some paper clips, colored some Skittles and sent her Scrabble tiles that spelled out her name. I altered a small papier mache trunk to make it look like a miniature treasure chest.

Here's a closer look at the ATCs.

GIBBS 3 Swap

I had joined the GIBBS 3 swap in the Cricut message board and have been creating these handmade items for the past three month. My partner was Dianne, and she also sent me a fabulous box filled with equally fabulous goodies. Here's the link:http://s955.photobucket.com/albums/ae34/PetiteKalashnikovna/GIBBS%203/
I bought a Steampunk-inspired trunk from HL and attached a couple of tags to it to contain everything that I was sending.

The theme for the second day was "What Was I Thinking". I altered a shadow box for that day. I made grunge roses and covered the interior with paper from Graphic45. The chair is from the Summer in Paris cart, cut at 4 1/2" and embellished with Liquid Pearls. The lamp post is from Heritage, cut at 6 1/2". The lace, pearls and crystals are all from Prima. The theme for this piece is "Love and Marriage".

Day 3 is "Button It". I made napkin rings out of paper towels and covered it with paper from Tim Coffey for K&Co. Lace and wood buttons tied with twine were used to embellish them.

Fairytale Tilda

My husband was baffled the first time he saw Tilda. He was wondering where her nose and mouth went. I started drawing them on my stamped images just to placate him. lol! I used the second sketch for this week at RAQ's Challenge for my card. The sentiment is from Sweet Treats, cut at 1'. The paper is Anna Griffin. I used a Martha Stewart corner punch and the flower punch is from EK Success. Stickles were used to emphasize the image, and chalk for the background.

The Copic Markers used for this image are:

Altered Cricut Expression and Jukebox

Now everything has to match in my craft room. lol! Carolyn Deline made some cricut jammies for me a while back, and I wanted something equally pretty to look at when the jammies were off. I also did not want my Jukebox to feel left out, so it got a makeover too.

Storage for my Copic Markers

I have been in a state of alteration frenzy lately. I have a collection of Copic markers and I wanted a way to store them. I did not want to pay $8 for the plastic boxes, so my solution was to alter the small Priority mail boxes that they came in when they were shipped. I also made another star box for the "overflows".
