Once Upon a Princess Invitation and Gift Bag

I had cut the invitation using my Once Upon a Princess cartridge at 3 3/4". The larger crowns were cut at 1 3/4" while the smaller crowns measure 3/4". The hearts were leftover pieces from the crowns that I cut. The circle backgrounds were cut using Spellbinders dies. I applied chalk on the background to make the pieces stand out. I used paper from DCWV's Blossoms and Butterflies. The ribbons are from my stash. I used Liquid Pearls and white Enamel Accents to make the pearls. I added pink Stickles inside the negative space of the heart centers to add more texture. The gift bag was cut at "Fit To Page". I used pop squares to make the cut-outs more dimensional.

Cupcake-shaped Boxes for Decorate To Celebrate

I have been asked to be a guest designer this week at http://decoratetocelebrate.blogspot.com/. The theme is "kid's birthday party". The challenge will run for two weeks, so do drop by to join.

I used my Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge to cut the boxes. They were all cut at "Fit To Page". The next step was to cut the cupcakes separately. Make sure that you take note of the measurement of the box to coordinate with the size of the cupcake. I cut the base at "Blackout" first, then added the layers. I embossed the cupcake tops using D'vine swirls and Swiss dots and added some "sprinkles" using my Viva Decor Pearl pens. The cupcakes were pop-dotted to add more dimension.

Logan's Layouts

It's all about Faithful Companions over at My Sheri Crafts. Logan Nicholas, our baby for the past 3 years takes center stage this week. It's funny how I get asked about Logan now that we are expecting a new baby. My question is..."Do you get rid of your first-born just because he got a little older and you have a new baby to cuddle with?" Life will never be the same without our fur baby who has Mommy and Daddy wrapped around his little paw.

I used paper from Karen Foster (Cat Scrapbook Kit), and The Paper Studio. The Tigger holding the tag was cut at 2 1/2", and the sleeping Tigger measures 4 1/2". I colored Tigger with Pumpkin Smooch Ink and added Stickles to outline him. The font is from Alphalicious, cut at 1". Both die cuts are pop-dotted for added dimension. The paw-printed ribbon is from The Paper Studio.

Video for Red, White and Blue Gatefold Album

More details can be seen in this video. Hubby told me I have a soft voice...but I carry a biiiggg stiiick! lol! Double click on it for a full screen. :-)

Vintage Patriotic Gatefold Album

Happy Birthday America! :-) It's in the sweltering 110s here and yes, I am scheduled to work tonight but hey--there is so much worth celebrating for! :-)

I made this album for a swap. My Secret Sister specified that she wanted a gatefold mini album, so I indulged her. :-) I used paper from My Mind's Eye, The Paper Studio and DCWV. For frames, I used dies from Tim Holtz and Spellbinders. The rosettes were made using Tim Holtz dies. Flourishes and roses are from Prima and the crystals were from Recollections. I also used lace from The Paper Studio. The album is made of chipboard since I wanted it to be sturdy.

Here's the link of the copyright-free site that I went to for the clip art I used for the tags: http://vintageholidaycrafts.com/patriotic-memorial-day-greeting-cards/.

Check out the video I made in the next post.

Vintage Red, White and Blue Notebook

I altered a small notebook with a vintage theme for Diane. I used paper from The Paper Studio. The frames were cut using Tim Holtz dies. I added crinkle ribbon, a cameo from Webster's Pages, flourishes and flowers from Prima and crystals from Recollections to complete the look.

Red, White and Blue Stickpins

I gave these stickpins to my Secret Sister Diane. She lives near the beach so I thought of a tropical presentation for it. The fan is from the Philippines, and I added a Tim Holtz Rosette, a Prima flower and a ribbon from Offray to jazz it up.
