Asian Joy Fold Card
It's about time I post this. I made this card for a swap sister, and also as a Design Team project for My Sheri Crafts. This is actually an easy card. All I did was to get two cards--an A2 and a 5"x7" and I scored and trimmed the front flap of the 5"x7" card lengthwise, in half. I trimmed and covered both cards with washi paper and embellished them. The stamped image is from Inkadinkado's "Asian Images". I glued the smaller card to the 5"x7" card...and voila..an easy-peasy joy fold card that fits in a standard 5"x7" envelope!
Detailed instructions for the card can be found at the My Sheri Crafts blog.

More Mother's Day Cards
I know a whole bunch of Moms out there, and yes, they all need to be honored on their special day.
I had made three more cards, and there's still another one I had not posted yet.
The green in this card is actually brighter and has more yellow tinges to it. The sentiment is from the Mother's Day cartridge, cut at 2 1/2". The border punch is from Martha Stewart. Flowers are from prima. Paper used is from K&Co.
I made two cards based on this sketch. That's how much I loved it. :-) Both cuts also measures 2 1/2". I used paper from DCWV. The crystals are from Recollections. The dot strips are adhesive-backed ribbon.
The green and white paper used in this card is from Me And My Big Ideas. Pearls with roses are from Prima.

Asian Twinchies
My Asian vintage images and the washi paper are so colorful, I did not really have to do anything with them except to mat them using Large Nestabilities Scalloped Square. I used Liquid Pearls to accent the scallops. I used Tim Holtz Fragments- Charms and Memory Glass from Ranger for the other images. I covered the papier mache box using the same washi paper and embellished it with pearls from The Paper Studio and ribbon from Ribbon Trends. Again, you will see my favorite Critter, Taro the Panda, completing the whole set.
Boxes!
Here is the box that I received from Jeri, for our Sisters of The Traveling Shoe Box (STSB) swap. It's a mix of Baroque minimalism...and the tropics (thanks to the hibiscus flowers). :-) It's an unusual combination, but it works! I love the black and cream color combo. And yes, this box is hubby-approved!
I sent her this box. She goes for Japanese aesthetics in her decor, and she loves fall colors. It was quite a challenge, so here is what I came up with:
And to ensure that there won't be any "dibbs" on the things that I sent her, I included a claim check as well.
It will be a long while before I would join swaps like this again, since my focus right now is the Design Team projects and the GIBBS (Girls I'm Broke Box) swap--the swap for handmade items. But I had a lot of fun, and Jeri is a great partner. I'd love to be partnered with her again!

Simple Card
I made five cards for the "In Stitches" Day for the STSB swap. Paper is from Anna Griffin. Flower Soft was used for the Prima flower centers. The ivory-colored ruffled ribbon is from The Paper Studio. The buttons were generously given to me by Joy, from the Cricut message board. I used Spellbinders Large Ovals for the background, which I chalked for added definition.
Paperbag Album
I made this paperbag album for the Sisters Of The Traveling Shoebox Swap that I was in. The theme for that day was "Paisley", so I used Paisley papers from K&Co for my paper bags. "My Story" is from the Pink Journey cartridge. I used Prima Flowers and pearl flourishes from ZVA Creative. Ribbon is from Offray and charms are from Bluemoon Jewelry, and 7 Gypsies. The scissors were bought from a LSS.
For the first page, I used my Heritage Cartridge and cut the font at 1". The label is also from the same cart. The button is from Sassafras. The tag is from Webster's Pages. The mulberry flower is from Petaloo. Lace is from Prima.
The second page has frames from Spellbinders. The butterfly paper is from the Mariposa Stack from DCWV. Pearl flourishes are from ZVA Creative. Lace is from Prima and the pearls are from The Paper Studio.
The third page is all about Love. I used vintage Alice In Wonderland playing cards for the King and the Queen. The heart and key die cuts are from Spellbinders. I aged them using Colorbox inks--black, gold, copper and Celadon green to mimic tarnish.
I used a pearl flourish from Basic Grey for the page on Children. I used more cuts from the Heritage cartridge and the Alice in Wonderland playing cards. The embellishment was made using Tim Holtz's Fragments- Charms and Glossy Accents. The pink brad is from The Paper Studio.
I was thinking along the lines..."Life is a journey" when I made the next page. The lace is from Kimi, one of the fabulous ladies in GIBBS. The brad is from K&Co.
I used tags from 7 Gypsies and more Prima lace for the last page. The bronze-finished floral brads are from The Paper Studio.
I also made layouts to be tucked inside the paper bags, and photo templates to make it easier for Jeri to cut the pictures for the album. I used more Liquid Pearls, and die cuts using Scalloped Ovals and Labels 8 from Spellbinders. Flowers are from Prima and Petaloo. Vintage lace is from Prima. Papers are from My Mind's Eye and The Paper Studio.
I mixed in some masculine layouts for the male members of the family. I used Tim Holtz metal corners to embellish one layout. Lace used are from Prima and Webster's Pages. Paper used are from My Mind's Eye and The Paper Studio. I punched paper from Basic Grey using a double-edge punch from Martha Stewart. The frames are from K&Co.
I used more tags from 7 Gypsies for these layouts, and of course, my new favorite...Sassafras buttons.
Here are more Alice in Wonderland playing cards. I love the humor behind them.

Cards For This Week At Raq's
Happy Easter weekend!
Carolyn was this week's host at Raq's and she has four great sketches. I will tackle the fourth sketch the next time I'm off.
For the first sketch, I used the panda cut at 2" from Create A Critter. Washi paper was used for the background, and the embossing folders that were used are from Cuttlebug. The circles are from Spellbinders. Card size is 5"x7".
I used the flourished butterfly, cut at 2" from Give A Hoot. The butterfly was embossed using D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder. The antennae was highlighted using Stickles. Paper is from K&Co. I embossed the pink cardstock with Floral Fantasy Cuttlebug folder. The sticker flowers are from Martha Stewart. Pearls are from The Paper Studio. Liquid Pearls were used for accent.
I used Nursery Rhymes cartridge for this card, cut at 3". A Sandylion Essentials sticker was used for the upper right hand corner rectangle. Papers are from MAMBI and K& Co. Pearls are from The Paper Studio.
