The celebration continues at My Sheri Crafts for our biweekly challenge! Sheri, our team leader came up with the theme, and we're required to feature buntings/banners in our card/project. I got a brand new Cricut Cartridge that I wanted to play with from Close To My Heart the newest released Artfully Sent. There was a card there that was perfect for this challenge. The card base is Crystal Blue cardstock, and the designer papers are from Close To My Heart's Balloon Ride (retired). I added a Balloon Ride Picture My Life card on the front, which I embellished with Gold Shimmer Trim. The resin flower at the right lower corner is from Ivy lane Assortment (retired). I added some Bling Gems Gold Assortment to bring attention the sentiment and to hold the banner up inside the pop up card.

Happy, Happy Birthday to the Caped Crusader!
Design Team sister Raquel is hosting our Birthday Celebrations theme at My Sheri Crafts, which is a wonderful coincidence since my little boy will turn 3 on the 19th of this month! He will be the Caped Crusader for a day, and in keeping with the theme, I made invitations with matching envelopes, Thank You cards, gift bags and matching decorations to fit the theme. Using the Batman Cricut cartridge, I cut the invitation at 5 1/2". The envelope was made by folding over a piece of Black Cardstock measuring 6"x12". I closed off the edges with Tim Holtz tissue tape and glued on the bat cutouts from the invitation. I altered the blue gift bags that I got from Michaels with a Batman emblem, cut at 2" using the Plantin' Schoolbook cartridge. The bat is from once again, the Batman cartridge, cut at 3 1/2", at real dial size off. I used Black, Slate and Pacifica Cardstock from Close To My Heart mixed in with a darker blue and bright yellow cardstock from Core'dinations.

Celebrate The Piano
Design team sister Sarah is hosting our biweekly challenge this time around, and the prerequisite for the challenge is to come up with a music-related project in celebration of Piano Month this September. I was inspired by Liberace when I made this card.
I used designer paper from Prima Marketing, and added the piano (cut at 2 1/2") and sentiment (cut at 2") cut using A Child's Life and Lyrical Letters Cricut cartridges. I embossed the Champagne Cardstock using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The Gold Shimmer Trim, and small Black Flourish, and Gold Sequins are all from Close To My Heart.

Be An Angel...
August 22 is "Be An Angel Day", and sure enough, our biweekly theme at My Sheri Crafts is all about angels! I made this card using the Sing Glory Close To My Heart stamp set, inked with Glacier Exclusive Ink. I used Juniper Cardstock for the snowflakes and Slate Cardstock for the Background, which I embossed using a Cuttlebug folder. I wanted bling in the card, so I added some Sparkles Clear Assortment. The snowflakes were cut at 1" and the border was cut at 7 1/2" at read dial size using the Arbooking Cricut cartridge.

Halloween Pop Up Box Card
Box cards have been so popular for a while, so I decided to give it a try, thanks to the Splitcoastampers tutorial. I used theScaredy Cat paper packet from Close To My Heart, and the layout patterns from Reflections. The stamp set is from Halloween Greetings, stamped using Thistle, Black and Sunset Exclusive Ink.
I added Black Striped Twill Ribbon and a border with a bat design to the outside of the card.

Christmas in July
DT sister Sue challenged us with a Christmas in July theme this week and I would like to send her a virtual hug since Christmas is my favorite holiday and if it were up to me, I'd celebrate it everyday. Another requirement for the project is for it to have layers:-D
This picture was taken a couple of Christmases ago. I put on an identical Santa hat on the baby who was not too happy having his pic taken with Santa at his workshop. We had a good pic before the tears started falling.
I used paper from Webster's Pages from their Waiting For Santa paper pack. The paper was so beautiful and I felt that it would be a shame to cover it up, so I came up with this layout design with that in mind. I had hoarded that paper for four long years and I am not embarrassed to admit that. lol! The puffy damask stickers were given to me by Jeri, and the sentiment Believe" was cut from the Cricut Artbooking cartridge using Ruby Cardstock. I added some Sparkles Black Flourishes from Close To My Heart to make the layout more festive.

A Fun Summer Paperdoll
Design team sister Raquel from My Sheri Crafts challenged us with a "Food, food and more food!" theme. Part of the challenge was to create a project that features any type of food cuts or embellishments. I made a birthday card with a detachable paperdoll and outfits featuring cupcakes and a glass of juice. Now how yummy is that? :-)
I used strips of Lollydoodle paper packet that I punched out so as to create scallops. I could not decide which patterns to use, so why not all of them, right? :-) The sentiment is from Cricut Artiste Birthday, stamped using Desert Sand Exclusive Ink. I mounted it on a small piece of rectangle Kraft cardstock. The stamped images from Paper Doll were colored using Copic markers.
